Let's forget the pundits and analysists and their double-speak and facts and figures. Who do YOU think did the best in the GOP debates tonight? Did anyone move ahead? Did anyone flounder? Let us know!
I was pleased with the honesty of Bachman and Cain regarding waterboarding as well. I like the comparison of Ron Paul to Mr. Rodgers. Gingrich wasn't bad. I disagree with your view of Huntsman. I think he covered the questions about China well and was able to speak with experience as the former ambassador. Romney didn't strike any real cords with me however. All in all, I don't think any of the candidates jumped ahead from tonights performance, but I also don't think any "screwed up" by oh I don't know, forgetting the name of a government agency you would close...
Let's see what happens this week in the news. I'm sure Cain and Bachman will be roasted for their support of waterboarding. Bets?
I support water boarding..... look the terrorist cut our people's heads off on live streaming video.... we poured water on a couple of the ring leaders.
Besides if we really wanted to torture these guys the CIA just has to loose custody of these guys to some nation without our legal constraints for a day or so.
And remember when shocking testicles, on the battery the Red is Positive and Black is Negative
I think sometimes, we as Americans are better off NOT knowing what we do to bad people. Ignorance is truly bliss. That's what bothers me the most I think is that we have groups that will go toe-to-toe with the govt over waterboarding someone like Bin Laden (yes I know he was never waterboarded) but will stand idly by or support when the Westboro Baptist folks are protesting at the funeral of a soldier who was killed by the very man the government is waterboarding. I stand by my sentiment..We need more common sense in this country!
Addendum: I liked what Cain said about not so much cutting Pentagon Budget but running it more like a corporation would run it, he quoted Six Sigma but the idea is the same look at where the billions are going and find a way to make it cheaper to get our guys food, bullets and the latest body armor. Maybe he can put some common sense into defense spending?
I understand the allowance of letting those foul individuals have the freedom to do what they do, its what the constitution has granted us.
However this is where Society can combat Phelps and his Kool-Aid Drinkers, we can block his mouthpiece, society basically shuns these people media outlets refusing them a platform to spew their hate.
Take for example today at the Funeral of the Gailey boy who was killed in Afghanistan and was put to rest today. The city of Bartlesville gave the WBC group a place to protest (Frank Phillips and 75) when the funeral was over a mile away over near Nowata Road. Then as a greater show of community Support the Freedom Riders Mobilized to shield the family. From what I gather through scuttlebutt is the WBC Folks were basically ran out of town. I will add details once I hear more.
At what point to the rights of the few trample the rights of the many? This is a sentiment that can be applied to many issues we face in America. We protect WBC and their right to protest, but at the detriment of the rights of the families. Skewed reality is all I can say.
I have seen the Freedom Riders at the funerals of comrades I have laid to rest. I will always make it a point to say "Thank you" to them.
The point being let them trample the rights of the WBC, they will have the ability to trample the same rights of you or I.
Fred Phelps is a waste of Oxygen but we should all pray for him.
To me the WBC gives society an opportunity to show why Americans are Saints among men. If Society rejects these hate mongers who try to dishonor our fallen soldiers. Basically it starts from the ground up, if you own a gas station reserver your right to refuse service to these people, a restaurant refuse service, innkeepers refuse service ect. We as society as a group can have a bigger voice than 6 brainwashed or misguided hate mongers, make bigger signs, quote better scripture (and in the proper context) and those of society who broadcast news or media refuse to acknowledge them.
All that do we as Society have the guts to stand up to these hate groups and say no more, that if you come to our community expect no quarter, and no civility.
This goes for any group that spreads hate, whether they have bibles in their hands, black jackets or white robes.
And for the record God does not hate homosexuals, he loves them. What God doesn't like is Sin, and He doesn't hate sin he forgives it.

I think all but Huntsman did well, I like Bachman's and Cain's Responses on Waterboarding, very direct and honest.
I think America needs a little bit of Ron Paul but he's too much a Cranky and Crochety version of Mr Rodgers.
I think overall that Newt did the best, even though tulsa cbs decided to run a rerun of NCIS and I was not able to watch the 2nd Hour.
